Great content still needs a site that search engines—and now AI assistants—can crawl, understand, and trust. That foundation is what we build and repair.
Technical SEO is the part of search that lives in the code, the server, and the structure of your site. It's whether search engines can reach your pages, understand what they're about, and serve them quickly. It's the plumbing.
This is deliberately not everything under the "SEO" umbrella. We don't do keyword research, content strategy, copywriting, or link building. Those are real disciplines, and we have trusted SEO consultants we'll happily introduce you to. What we do is make sure the site underneath that work is technically sound—because the best content in the world won't rank on a site that can't be crawled.
We start with an audit of your site's technical foundation, then help you fix what we find. Find the problems, understand their impact, prioritize what actually matters, and remediate.
Search has stopped being a list of ten blue links. A growing share of your audience asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews, or an assistant built into their browser, and gets a synthesized answer with a handful of citations. Being the source that gets cited is a different problem from ranking third on a results page.
The encouraging part is that most of the work overlaps with technical SEO done well. Answer engines are crawlers with stricter appetites. What they reward is a site that states its facts unambiguously and structures them so a machine doesn't have to infer.
Here's what we do about it:
robots.txt and CDN rules decide which AI crawlers can see your site at all. That's a business decision as much as a technical one, and it deserves a deliberate answer rather than a default. We'll walk you through the tradeoffs and implement whatever you decide. We'll be up front with you about the limits here: nobody controls what a language model says, the field is a year or two old, and anyone selling you guaranteed AI rankings is guessing. What we can do is make sure your site gives these systems accurate, well-structured, accessible information—which is the only durable lever anyone actually has.
Technical SEO work makes sense if you:
Audit first. We start by understanding your current state. What's working? What's broken? What's invisible? A thorough audit gives us a roadmap.
Prioritize based on impact. Not all issues matter equally. A handful usually account for most of the damage, and plenty of things a crawler flags as errors are safe to ignore. We'll tell you which is which.
Fix systematically. Remediation works best when it's methodical. We tackle issues in a logical order and verify each one, because a fix you can't measure isn't a fix.
Plain language, always. You get a report documenting what we found, what it means, and what we recommend—written so you can hand it to a colleague who doesn't do this for a living.
You can hire us just for an audit, for audit-plus-remediation on a site you already have, or fold this into a larger build. Technical SEO is also part of how we work by default: the sites we build ship with clean markup, real heading outlines, and structured data, because retrofitting is always more expensive.
Whether you need an audit, remediation on issues you already know about, or a technical partner for the SEO consultant you're already working with, we can help. Reach out and let's discuss what you're dealing with.
